Ok. The world of sneakers is not literally blowing up but the sneaker manufacturers are going full throttle to secure sales and become market leader even if only in sheer numbers and the size of the range of sneakers that they offer. The latest offering from Nike is a black and orange explosion.
The body of the shoe is a Nike Air Max high top and this sneaker is named the Barkley. It is a carbon copy of the body seen on the Max2 CB ’94 making these sneakers another of Nike’s retro modifications. The Barkley has been given a Hyperfuse update and Nike hope that the fusion of colors will create a sense of nostalgia and an opportunity to reminisce for sneaker lovers of the 90’s which was a great decade for sneakers. The sneaker also gives the impression of being straight of a building site with the safety orange looking like illuminated high visibility gear normally seen on builders clothing.
The Nike Air Max Barkley sneakers are released on February 20th and will be on sale for $130 in Nike Stores. The product number is 488119-085 for those looking to make the purchase online. The sneakers are available to pre-order for delivery at the Nice Kicks online shop.
